If you are thinking for a short trek near the Everest region, Pikey Peak is less travelled trek route than the other areas which would be best for you. This trek takes you to beautiful area of the world highest peak, Mt. Everest and the rugged landscapes of the Everest region. The newly discovered Pikey Peak trekking route to the Everest region lies at an altitude of 4065 meters which is in the charming lower khumbu region of Nepal, in Solukhumbu District. The late Sir Edmund Hillary once said “Pikey Peak is the most astonishing place for observance of Mount.”
This trek is also known as the Dal Bhat Trekand is one of the best hill top destination that offers you stunning views of other neighbouring peaks of the region such as Mt. Dhaulagiri, Kanchanjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, and other snow- capped peaks. The trekking route passes through beautiful Sherpa villages, terraced field, and lush rhododendron forests. Along the way, you can interact with the local Sherpa community, experience the unique Sherpa culture and hospitality, and visit ancient monasteries. Pikey peak is a less crowded trek in the Everest region, still popular among the trekkers and adventure enthusiasts seeking for quieter and off- the- beaten- path adventure. It offers a chance to explore the Himalayas while enjoying the rich cultural and natural beauty of the region.
Itinerary Detail
On this day you will arrive at Kathmandu and you will be transferred to the hotel.
On this day you will drive from Kathmandu to Shivalaya. It takes 7- 8 hours to reach there. Overnight stay will be at Lodge there.
You will trek to Bhandar for around 5- 6 hours. Overnight stay will be at Lodge.
You will trek to Namkheli for at least 6 hours. Overnight stay will be at Lodge.
You will trek to Ngamor Gompa for about 6- 7 hours. Overnight stay will be at Lodge.
Trek to Pikey Dada for about 4- 5 hours to explore the natural beauty of flora and fauna. Overnight stay will be at Lodge.
Early in the morning, you will trek to Pikey hill station. You can witness the panoramic view of Mount Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho -yo, Thamserku Amadamlam many more from this hill. You will trek to Junbesi for about 7 hours. Overnight stay will be at the lodge.
You will trek to Thuptun Chholing Monastery. From there, you will trek to Chiyaukhok for about 5- 6 hours. Overnight stay will be at Lodge.
You will trek to Ghumne Mera via Ratnagi-la trek for 6- 7 hours. Overnight stay will be at the lodge.
You will trek to Basa for about 4- 5 hours. Overnight stay will be at Lodge.
You will trek to Salleri for 5 hours. Overnight stay will be at Lodge.
In the morning, you will drive back to Kathmandu. It is about 8- 9 hours drive. Overnight stay will be at Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, at evening you will be served farewell dinner with typical Nepali traditional cuisine.
You will be departure from Kathmandu to your destination.
